What do i need to test for in a reef tank ?
i know i need to test for
temp, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, calcium, Magnesium, and KH (but i don’t know what KH is) please could you let me know if there is anymore i need to test for, and if possible what all these test results should be for a healthy reef tank with fish live sand and rock.

Ive just noticed someone said test for chlorine but they wouldn’t be any in RO water would they? so why would i need to test for that

KH means the following

Caclium and carbonate are important for proper coral growth.
You want to test phosphates which is found in tap water which will cause problem algae if in high concentrations. You need phosphates because it is found in natural seawater but it is very small if measureable.
Also if you have inverts you want to test your strontium and iodine levels.
All of which are components and supplements that you should be testing and adjusting for a reef tank.
