    even a 900 …
    umm no.

even a 900 gal tank for the fish is like us living in the boot of our car.
think where the fish come from..the oceans.

so although i agree with you on 2 gal tanks are bad, there just as bad as anyother

  10. EpicDriver97 Says:

    So a 10 gallon tank …
So a 10 gallon tank would be bad right

  11. lordvad3r Says:

    They are disgusting …
They are disgusting ! imo they should be banned all together … if you have a nano i would say 20 gal min … with marine the bigger the better dont buy a small tank and put big fish .. or even clown fish its like you living in your bathroom all your life

  12. EpicDriver97 Says:

    What do think about …
What do think about those 2.5 gallon nano reefs

  13. ShadowsDecember Says:

    a jawfish? dude …
a jawfish? dude they’re supposed to dig and make a hole, and need at least 4 inches of sand, which they WILL dig up. So if your jawfish isnt digging it may have problems with the tank.

but I can understand the blennies, theyre awesome :)

  14. lordvad3r Says:

if it is a very …
if it is a very thin amount then im 99% sure the fish will see no need to dig it out .. i have convict blennys and jawfish in the past i never had a problem then and i dont have this problem no … the only problem i had .. was my convict will pick up hermit crabs in his mouse and use then to add to his cave XD they get away tho dont worry

  15. lordvad3r Says:

it is true that the …
it is true that the water that evapourates has no salt in it .. therefore your salinity can rise a little … but i cover my tanks with drip trays .. so any water evapourating .. drips straight back in .

  16. ShadowsDecember Says:

    anyway it really …
anyway it really doesnt matter cause if the fish dig it out, that defeats the purpose of putting a first layer down. -.-

  17. ShadowsDecember Says:

    how deep?
    how deep?

  18. ronnieNreggieFROG Says:

    but if your water …
but if your water has evaporated, then only get r/o water (not salty r/o water) as the salt will remain in your tank and by adding salty r/o water will be bad. only add salty r/o water at the beginning of setting it up and then on water changes.

  19. lordvad3r Says:

    best gal for shark …
best gal for shark !!… the biggest size you can get my friend!! i take it your not on about a great white .. but you will still need at least around 250 gal… other wize it would be like locking ou in ur rest room all your life .. you gotta consider these things will grow and will get bored be fare and get the biggest u can get .

  20. lordvad3r Says:

    i have heard all …
i have heard all this and im quite aware of what could” happen but i place a fine layer of sand down before the live rock that way any sharp edges wont damage the glass .. then place the remainding sand down after that.

  21. lordvad3r Says:

    its clear seal …
its clear seal filter but i wouldnt reccomend it .. i would say get an external canister filter if you dont have a sump there about £20 of ebay from hongkong or around $35 there handy cuz they take up no room in the tank and you can have easy access to it .. also make sure you have a skimmer

  22. holoulblaheeee Says:

    where can i get …
where can i get that filter? or what do i search on ebay. please respond im getting a tank in the very near future.

  23. ShadowsDecember Says:

    your supposed to …
your supposed to place live rock in before sand. That way it creates a foundation for the rock that cant be dug out and collapsed as easily by the marine inhabitants.

  24. shifter510 Says:

    what the best gal …
what the best gal for shark? can u tell me?

  25. gprime22 Says:

    yes because if the …
yes because if the live rock is sitting on the sand the structure could collapse ruining your whole reef structure or falling onto the glass even breaking it, the sand acts as a kind of holder
