Salt Water Aquarium Tips and Tutorials

may i use salt for water set up for discus fish aquarium?

I assume you mean to convert a saltwater tank to a Discus tank. I can, but of course would need to remove any coral or other materials that would serve to increase the pH. Using the tank, filters, lights etc would be a good set up for Discus most likely.

How hard is it to turn a fresh water aquarium into a salt water aquarium? And what will I need??

you can (assuming you have a wet/dry filter). Wet/dry’s aren’t the most efficent with fresh water but they do work. Also, make sure you clean out your tank/filter/etc very well. Discus prefer soft acidic water and salt will move it in the complete opposite direction!

So your keeping fish, i own fish so i know everything. 1st when your setting up a acuarium make sure it has plants becuase fish rest (dont sleep) and have babies on plants. 2sd put purifed water in NO SALT! 3rd Never put sink water in the acuarium or your fish will die becuase of chemicals.
