Question about Salt Water Aquarium?
I need to get a "round-about" price on how much a saltwater aquarium would hit me up for. I’m thinking about doing a senior project on setting up a saltwater aquarium.
Setting up and keeping a marine aquarium is more than a project. It becomes like a child or a very demanding pet. This task requires A LOT of time, money and dedication. The filters, test kits, protein skimmer, substrate, live rock, inhabitants, aquarium salt/ RO water, etc… is all pretty expensive. Go to your nearest marine aquarium specialty store to price all of these things. If you do this, it could be very rewarding if you have the patience to do it correctly. Read up on how to set up your tank and get advice from experienced marine aquarists who might be able to help your set up. Good luck!!
120 Gallon Saltwater Fish Tank, 6ft, 18mo, w/ starfish, hard coral reef aquarium tank (artificial)
well, if you do not have a tank you need at least a 75 gallon tank and by the way that is costly. and the fish are much more expensive then normal. well it all depends how many fish you want. about 5 clown fishes cost 12$ x 5 plus about 150$ tank and then theres the cleaning supplies vacums, maybe youd like a snail or sponges and rocks ill say maybe $500.

It depends. You can set up a small tank 10 gallon with under-gravel filter. You can usually get a kit for under $40 then all you need is the water and salt. Buy R/O water about $1 a gallon and then salt about $10. Make sure you let it cycle before adding fish.

I know from experience, a 50 gallon reef tank or fish only for that matter, is gonna cost more than 1000 dollars.
