a salt water aquarium shouldn’t b difficult to keep.. IF you had the best equipment for it and the best patient 2 for keeping them alive.
You should have salt water (real one is much easy) best filter type, great sanitary, best water system articulation , the right kind of lamp (diffrent from those fresh water aquarium).
Right lamp keep the anemon or coral alive.
great devices such as pHmeter, salinity, water thermo.
right food ( alive ones much more better)
if u had it all..
than you’ll just relax n enjoy the view..
my suggestion try with a small aquarium first…

The first thing to consider is "if you’re an experience fish keeper?" You see, salt water tanks are hard to keep. Not that I’m discouraging you but just like other pets, there are a lot of responsibilities in keeping salt water tanks. Do you have the patience of keeping up with water quality, pH level, salt levels and fish compatibility?

If you think you can do all those responsibilities in your tank, the take the plunge.

If you are into the salt-water fever, you must buy the biggest tank you can afford, let say a 50-gallon tank. The bigger the tank the less maintenance you need. Also, buy the best book you can find in the pet shop. In my opinion, books are better than Internet sites.

The most easiest fish to keep are those considered to be the "hardiest". Most fishes like the Sargent Major and most damsel fish are easy to keep and they are already beautiful in a tank. Stay away on the most "exotic" creatures. These exotics are more harder to keep.

Salt water aquarium is very difficult to maintain. You always have to check for the salinity of the water and make sure that it has the correct temperature for salt water fishes. I can’t deny the fact that salt water fishes are far more beautiful than tropical fishes but it’s really high maintenance specially if this is your first time having one. If you do not know how to take care of it properly, you will only feel bad if you see those beautiful fishes lifeless floating in your aquarium. I’m not discouraging you from doing what you like. My suggestion is either you setup a tropical fish aquarium or if you really want a sea water aquarium, I guess you start with a small aquarium…and hopefully you try your best to keep it alive.

Sorry, I’m a diver and I love marine fishes so much. It feels bad sometimes to see those beautiful creatures dead because of our negligence. I guess it would also be best to leave them on their own habitat.

if you get a clown fish, make sure you get the anenome to go with it to make them happy!
