January 3rd, 2010 at 3:35 pmalso, considering you REALLY want 1-2 lbs. of rock per gallon of water, you would need about 50-100 lbs. of rock at an average cost of $6 a lb. that comes out to at least $300 for 50 lbs. or as much as $600 for upwards of 100 lbs. and $6 a lb. is a VERY reasonable price. yeah, i think you should maybe go back and redo your figures a little.
