What are some common side effects if you put too much salt in a salt water aquarium?
What happens to the fish if you add too much salt into a salt water aquarium?
can any disease occur????
It depends on how much salt is in the water. If you overdo it toomuch, they will die. If the salinity is high, but not high enough to outright kill the fish, it will cause damage over time to the internal organs and kidneys, etc. High salinity also makes the fish more prone to parasites and other diseases. Most saltwater fish tolerate a specifica gravity from as low as 1.016 for short periods up to 1.030 also for a short time. Generally, 1.020 is considered ideal for most saltwater fish kept in a home aquarium.
Salt water aquarium...would it be bad if I shut off the filter for one night?

Too much salt can kill the fish. Fish are actually more susceptible to ich at higher salinities too. That’s why some people use hyposalinity as a treatment for ich, since the parasite doesn’t tolerate the lower specific gravity well.
