how to clean a 30 gallon salt water fish tank?
im getting a salt water tank soon i want to know the best way to clean it without taking out all the fish.
It makes my head hurt just thinking about it, you might have to take the fish out if you really want to get a perfect clean, but i never have done that, i don’t care that it is absolutley perfect, all you really need is make sure to have and undergravel filter and a powerfilter that sits on the edge of the tank, this will do a lot of the cleaning for you and will make the fish really happy, get a tank brush that reaches down to the bottom so you can wipe away algae, get the ph solution which will help keeps things from getting nasty, if you mantain a clean environment you don’t really have to clean it, since it is salt water the chloride will help clean it for you but you will have to do bi-annual replacements to ensure that things don’t get gross, there are a lot of products that you can buy, i really like the ones that are non toxic and friendly to the environment they seem to really work the best

I’m not sure what you mean by cleaning it. You should never have to take the fish out. You’ll need a hose to siphon off some water for water changes, and you can use that to siphon off algae on rocks and such. You’ll need a magnetic algae scraper for the glass.
