Salt Water Aquarium Tips and Tutorials

Is my fluorescent light okay for my aquarium?

I want to start a salt water tank, I don’t know if I want to start a reef or a fish only- live rock tank. I already have a 20 gal tall tank, a hood, and a light. The light is a single fluorescent bulb strip, nothing special. Should i set it on a timer for the coral, if i get any, or should I just avoid getting coral and stick to live rock.

Fluorescent works quite well. Coral is expensive and I’ve heard hard to take care of unless you really know what you’re doing.

I spilled Miracle-Gro Potting Soil Mix in my REEF AQUARIUM, what should I expect?
